"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers". -
(Henry VI, Part 2,Act IV, Scene II).
I don't really want to kill all the lawyers, or any else for that matter. I needed a catchy title for this blog and it worked if you're reading this.
I do want the United States to quit electing lawyers to the presidency. I've belatedly come to the frightening realization that the current lawyer in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama, is totally incompetent for the job. The people who said that he had never run anything except a law school seminar or some ACORN cake sale were right. Mea culpa. I feel like I've awakened from some dream into a nightmare.
I lived in Louisiana for most of my youth, including six years in South Louisiana where my father was a manager for Schlumberger Offshore. When my dad finished high school in 1949 the only decent jobs in South Arkansas and Louisiana were in the oil industry. Only a fool with no business experience or common sense would shut down the offshore oil industry. Obama is just such a fool. Or maybe worse. I wonder now if the people who accuse him of being un-American and actively plotting to weaken the nation are right. Make BP pay but don't punish the companies that are doing it right and the hundreds of thousands of people who depend on the oil industry.
Other recent lawyers who were president or came close include Bill Can't Keep His Pants On Clinton, his wife Hillary, and ex Senator John Edwards, a sexual degenerate.
This time let's try for someone with some real world experience. I'm hoping for David Petraeus if he'll run. If not, I'll take Bobby Jindal or Rick Perry.

I took down my old blog, Judges Behaving Badly (judgesbehavingbadly.blogger.com). Most judges are honest and try to do the right thing. The old blog served its purpose, which was to clean out a rat's nest in the Hill Country.
Now that the 198th District has been cleaned out and ex-judge Emil Karl Prohl is a convicted felon with no law license and Ron Sutton is on probation, I think we have a very good district here. Both state court district judges are smart, ethical and honest. I don't care for the way Amos Barton has set up his office with ex-Kimble Co. Sheriff Mike Chapman, but Amos and his chief assistant Brad "Mississippi" Mucullogh are doing good work. They sent the thug who murdered Charlie Vela's mother off to the pen for life after Sheriff Hierholzer did Sutton's job and got the killer arrested in Mexico and extradicted.
